‘Appetite for Excellence’

Back in June 2018, Gemini Rail Technology launched the 'Appetite for Excellence Tour'; an exciting values based initiative supporting the pursuit of excellence.

The Tour was launched to enable all staff to build positive functional values throughout the business; dissecting each departmental process and looking at what we do well and what we could do better. The teams are built with a cross section of employees, coming from all functions of the business to allow an unbiased approach to each leg of the tour.

The Leadership Team presented the first session in June 2018, ‘Leadership Excellence’ and were subsequently followed throughout 2018 by:

  • Safety & Well-Being Excellence
  • Employee Excellence
  • Operational Excellence

These deep dive ‘excellence’ sessions are helping us evolve and grow as a business; Each leg of the Tour is held off-site with full company attendance and participation to ensure all internal stakeholders have a clear vision of the objectives for each function within the business.

Last week saw the first leg of the Tour for 2019 kick-off with Engineering Excellence, led by Phil Comelio. Still to come for 2019 is Sales & Commercial Excellence, Finance Excellence and Supply Chain Excellence.
