100km Peak District challenge raises funds for The Kaleidoscope Plus Group

We are extremely proud and want to say a massive congratulations to one of our Project Engineers, Cassie Salter and her husband, Stu, who took on the immense task of the 100k Peak District Ultra Challenge last weekend. The event takes part over the course of two days, walking day and night to fundraise for our corporate charity of 2019, The Kaleidoscope Plus Group.
The pair walked the full 100km in an incredible 28 hours and 39 mins to raise well over £700 for mental health services and to raise mental health awareness.
Cassie was first inspired to take on the challenge after completing her Mental Health First Aid at Work course, facilitated by The Kaleidoscope Plus Group. She was so inspired by the course that she decided to get on board and give back in her own way.
Setting out from Bakewell Showground, the duo walked a ‘figure of 8 loop’, taking them on an adventure north and south of the Peak District along trails and scenic routes before returning back to the basecamp in Bakewell.
A huge WELL DONE to both Cassie and Stu for their sheer grit and determination!
